Ben has been a practicing Sports Psychologist for 22 years. He has extensive experience at the professional, collegiate, high school and junior levels. He specializes in guiding athletes along the path from good to great.

Ben has an unprecedented background in the Sports Psychology world. He was a two-sport athlete in college, excelling in both basketball and volleyball. His coaches marveled at his ability to focus day in and day out to bring the highest level of determination and passion to every practice, training session, and game. His winning mentality was contagious to his teammates,  coaches and staff promoting the development of a mindset that winning was the only option. His experience as an athlete gives him the ultimate understanding of how to reach athletes today. He talks the talk because he walked the walked.

He has coached at the high school, club and collegiate levels. His expertise as a coach was instilling a relentless pursuit of excellence in every aspect of the sport and life. His players played and practice with fire, passion and desire and brought their best to every situation. His leadership style started with a winning attitude with discipline and attention to detail that led to multiple winning seasons. His coaching tenure includes a broad spectrum of universities at the highest level including UCLA, Duke and the University of Texas.

As a Sports Psychologist, his athletes have won on every level. He has worked directly with teams and individuals that have won PGA Championships, Olympic Gold Medals, NCAA Championships, Conference Championships, Individual Championships, and goal achievement at every level. Ben will guide you to understand your purpose and help you achieve beyond your capabilities.

A large portion of Ben’s program is guiding student athletes in today’s environment. The world is full of uncertainty. Ben will help you to develop a confident mindset despite the current direction of the world. Mental toughness, the ability focus on the task at hand and block out unnecessary commentaries are the foundation of his practice. Ben will teach you to stay the course, focus on things you can control and continually achieve goals in a time where things have really become challenging on all levels because of today’s world. Training a positive mindset takes focus, effort and support. Ben will partner with you along your journey to success.

Ben’s practice is focused developing the intangibles and all coaches, managers, teachers and owners are seeking on every level athletically. Confidence, attitude, focus, concentration, mindset, centering, emotional management, and winning with your mind are all major factors that recruiters are looking for across the board. These are not just concepts you are born with, they can be developed over a lifetime. Ben has more than twenty years of experience with athletes helping them to “get out of their own way.” He has a very unique style of asking the right questions to get the most out of his athletes. He understands the mindset of a championship athlete and does not overwhelm clients with “psycho babble.” He instills positivity in every aspect of his work and helps athletes overcome factors that are currently holding them back from greatness.
